Burberry – Printed cotton shirt
As I mentioned in a previous blogpost here, Burberry has realized a modern update on the iconic check pattern over the past couple of years and has managed to achieve the perfect balance between conservative aesthetics and urban coolness. I instantly fell in love with this checked shirt. It is such a layed back, yet outstanding statement piece. You don’t need to add much more to create an interesting outfit. I always liked checked shirts very much. They are so stylish and easy to wear. To me, a check shirt is one of those pieces that never quite go out of fashion. It is a staple for every woman’s fall wardrobe.
With so many styles and colors to choose from this season, I decided to go for a pink version. I usually prefer natural tones when it comes to my clothes. This time however, I went for a splash of color. I found my new Burberry shirt via Stylebop. It is made of pure cotton and comes along with the brand’s signature check print. It has a regular fit, long sleeves and a chic and sharp pointed collar. I really like the way the classic design meets the playful color and creates an urban look. I decided to turn the collar of the shirt inwards and create a pretty and very feminine v-neck.
My look in details
I decided to wear a smart, yet comfortable look. It is the perfect outfit for a coffee date in the city or a typical day at the office. A nice pair of jeans, an easy top and heels et voilà you’re good to go. Sometimes less is definitely more. I’m wearing my favorite Re/Done jeans, my classic Jimmy Choo bag and a pair of red Gianvito Rossi heels. I love how the heels pick up the color of my shirt and create a harmonious look. A perfect match!
